How to care for your Fresh flowers
1. Remove packaging (skip this step if you received it in a vase)
2. Cut flower stems and place in a vase of clean water
(recommended to be done everyday, as bacteria grows in the water with heat)
3. Mist the petals to reduce browning of petals
4. Recommended to keep away from sunlight and best in aircon.
Why my fresh flowers don’t last well?
For some context, Singapore’s hot and humid climate is one of the main reasons why flower care is important especially once you received your flowers.
With proper care, fresh cut flowers can last 3-5 days after the arrangement have been delivered.
Also the lifespan of the flower type also differs due to our climate.
E.g tulips, hydrangeas, peonies, dahlias, ranunculus, gebera these premium flowers usually don’t last as well in our weather.
Whilst more hardy flowers like dutch carnations, lilies, chrysanthemums, african wild flowers, do last better in our weather.

Just to add on the high cost of flowers are because singapore don’t have flower farms and our well travelled flowers have to take a plane over from kenya, holland and china to get to singapore. Besides the shipment cost, flower arrangement is labour intensive and is something that can’t be replaced by machines. Hence if you’ll want to make you money worth the buck, you might want to explore preserve flower arrangments which will last longer. You can check out our preserved flower collection here.
